About the role:
- Take carriage of class actions and complex disputes from start to finish
- Work closely with senior practitioners while running your own matters
- Mentor juniors and help drive strong matter execution across the team
- Draft and settle key litigation documents (pleadings, evidence, submissions, correspondence, settlement docs)
- Run strategy, case theory development, and risk analysis across large files
- Manage large-scale evidence, discovery, experts, counsel, and timetables
- Prepare for and attend mediations, hearings, and other court events
- Negotiate settlements and contribute to resolution strategy
- Support resourcing, matter planning, budgets, and team workflow on major matters
The ideal candidate:
- 5+ years PAE (Senior Associate/Senior Lawyer level) in litigation/disputes
- Class actions / representative proceedings exposure ideal (or strong complex disputes experience)
- Strong drafting, attention to detail, and strategic judgement
- Confident client management and stakeholder communication (including funders where relevant)
- Comfortable supervising and mentoring juniors/paralegals
