About the role:

• Advise on a broad range of direct and indirect tax issues including structuring, M&A, and corporate advisory
• Act for high-net-worth individuals, corporates, SMEs, and major property clients
• Review and negotiate tax clauses in commercial contracts
• Handle ATO engagement including private ruling applications and dispute resolution
• Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to strategic team growth
• Work closely with Partners across Corporate, Property and Litigation teams

The ideal candidate:

• 4 to 15 years PQE in taxation law with strong technical expertise
• Strong client relationship management skills and commercial acumen
• Comfortable leading matters and advising directly to clients
• Experience with property and/or private client tax advisory is highly regarded
• Ambition to build a practice and contribute to team leadership
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
